In addition you will see that the DPS attuning skills are split into 3 rows of damage type explained more below. So here is an exploded view of my quickslots showing skill locations. As I mentioned I now use the tonic bars plug-in for Skirmish skills, emotes, and spare things like water pots in the Forges as appropriate for a specific run.Īs you can see I have broken the skills into 3 distinct blocks: Neutrally attuning skills, DPS attuning skills, and heal attuning skills. This to me is the most logical way, but as is often the case the usefulness of the skill and/or its place in a rotation will affect and often mess this up a little bit. So firstly I’ll look at layout out my skills into some kind of thematic groups as to what they do. The Other four dots down the side are for my Rune-keepers Chisel and Rifflers, and probably I will eventually put 2 rune-keepers satchels there, or perhaps put them with the rune-stones on my main bar, and move my consumables to the side. The two black dots are my skirmish summon, and direct commands, which are always places in that position on all my characters, enabling quick use, but without having to clutter my bars in general world gameplay. With the appearance of LUA scripting I have made good use of the Tonic bars plugin, to hold tracking skills, racial skills, ports, mounts, and I also have some invisible buttons where the black dots on the diagram which appear when hovered over. I move using the WASD, and QE keys, and Space Bar to jump, and pan camera and execute skills with the mouse, and its built-in buttons. In addition, and as with all these articles, they are laid out for a mouseclicker like myself. It is not the remit of this little article to explain this in any detail, you can find a good explanation of how the system works here, but this article will assume an advanced level of familiarity with the class. As you can see with the Rune-Keeper there are a lot of greyed out skills, and various ones of these will light up depending on your attunement level, enabling you to access higher skills. Note: Quit to main menu before exiting a floor to generate a new floor without actually going down.So as per usual I will start out with my basic bar as it appears out of combat. Play on Chaos difficulty (the highest difficulty) and grind floors 15-20 for arenas. Especially not if you quit to main menu to prevent going down floors.

That means 3 gods can spawn in that arena.ģ/10 * 1/2 * 1/3 = 2.5% chance for the God of Evil to spawn. I’m not sure how the game treats a god you’ve picked before the run, so let’s assume you picked none. The chance for the area to then spawn a god is 50%. Now, assuming you are on a floor in the 15-20 range, the change for an arena to spawn is 15%. It simply takes a random pick from all gods that have their spawn conditions satisfied, which at this point would be God of Evil, God of Contract, and God of Vengeance.

I’ve seen nothing in the code to suggest the God of Evil actually has a lower spawn chance than the other gods. For God of Evil on Chaos difficulty this is floor 15-20. Infinite mode seems to be designated as Nightmare difficulty internally however, which would mean the God of Evil can’t even spawn there to begin with.ĭisregarding infinite mode, we now focus on normal mode.Īll gods have a range of floors they can spawn in.

Interestingly the code has a segment that prevents the God of Evil from spawning on infinite mode before floor 20. Gods also seem unable to spawn on the first floor on regular runs and before floor 10 on infinite runs. Because of this we’ll focus on Chaos difficulty. Most notably the God of Evil only being enabled on the highest difficulty (Chaos). Some gods also get disabled on lower difficulties. It is worth noting that sub-scene (arena) bosses are exempt from this rule, and can always spawn. After a god spawns on a floor, no other gods can spawn for 5 floors. Gods do however have an interval at which they can appear. Nothing in the code seems to suggest this.

I’ve seen people suggest that at most 3 gods can spawn in any run. I decompiled the game and went on a mission to find out the exact spawn mechanics of the God of Evil, and now I am sharing this information so you don’t have to endlessly search for it. So I did what anyone in my situation would do. Needless to say it started to get on my nerves at some point. After 150+ hours I only ever had it appear once, and at that time I couldn’t get the 2nd achievement, The Cruel Punishment.Īny online information I could find was vague at best and didn’t seem to work for me. There are 2 achievements related to it however, so any completionists will find themselves grinding it out. So rare in fact that many people have never even seen it.

The God of Evil is a notoriously rare spawn.
